Important: Technicians who have respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and/or breathing difficulties (“Virus Symptoms”) may not report to work until they are free of fever (100.4° F [37.8° C] or greater using an oral thermometer), signs of a fever, and any other symptoms for at least twenty-four (24) hours, without the use of fever-reducing or other symptom-altering medicines (e.g. cough suppressants).
The following service call procedures are to be followed until further notice:
CUSTOMER CALL PROCEDURES:
Before entering customer location:
1) Put on safety glasses
2) Put on gloves for type of work being done (based on PPE chart)
When entering customer site:
3) Ask if there are any special procedures or precautions they should be aware of related to coronavirus and follow those while on-site
4) Avoid shaking hands, explain it is to prevent coronavirus spread
When working on equipment:
5) Pre-wipe equipment with sanitizing wipes prior to repairing equipment
6) Keep gloves and safety glasses on
When finished repairing equipment:
7) Wipe down equipment with disinfecting wipes when complete
8) Merchandize service and get work order signed
9) Avoid shaking hands, explain it is to prevent coronavirus spread
10) Wipe down iPad screen with screen wipe
11) Exit facility with PPE still on
12) Discard disposable gloves in trash receptacle
POST CUSTOMER CALL PROCEDURES:
Before getting into service vehicle:
1) If cut gloves were worn for call, clean palms with disinfecting wipe, spray tops with Lysol disinfecting spray
2) Remove safety glasses and wipe with disinfecting wipe
After arriving home:
3) Wipe hard surfaces in service vehicle with disinfecting wipes/cleaner (steering wheel, turn signal, etc)
4) Keep work shoes in garage or just inside front door
5) To best protect your family, we recommend immediately removing and laundering your uniform
6) Then thoroughly wash your hands
We also recommend cleaning your phone with alcohol wipes intermittently throughout the day.
