Smart Care Acquires Turbo Technicians, LLC

Smart Care Continues to Build Premier, National Commercial Kitchen Equipment Company with their Fourth Acquisition

ST. PAUL, MN – Smart Care® Equipment Solutions (Smart Care) announces the acquisition of Turbo Technicians, LLC, a leading provider of repair in the speed oven category. With headquarters in Addison, Texas, Turbo Technicians is the largest TurboChef® authorized service company in the country. They provide TurboChef oven repair and maintenance to several large coffee chains across the country and are building service capabilities for coffee equipment to diversify and complement their current capabilities. Their focus on the rapidly expanding speed oven market provides Smart Care with an opportunity to quickly enhance specialization of this technology and support the growth of Turbo Technicians.

This is Smart Care’s fourth acquisition of a service company in 15 months and grows Smart Care’s total number of technicians to more than 600 nationwide. Turbo Technicians, LLC was originally the service organization of Turbo Chef. Following Middleby Marshall’s acquisition of Turbo Chef, the service business was divested in 2007 and purchased by the former CFO of Turbo Chef. Cody Newport, who started as a technician, was asked to come with the business to help build the business and strengthen the service network. Cody and Julie Newport purchased the business in early 2017. Through strong leadership and customer focus, Cody and Julie achieved strong YOY growth of speed oven repair and began an expansion into the coffee segment.
