Robert Harris Elected as Vice President to CFESA Board of Directors

The 2024 Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) Board Elections took place on Tuesday, October 8, during their annual conference in Savannah, GA. Robert Harris, Assistant Vice President of Operations Support at Smart Care, was elected to the CFESA Board of Directors as Vice President. Harris will serve a two-year term, bringing his extensive expertise in the commercial kitchen equipment repair industry to the organization known for its commitment to service excellence.

Harris’s journey with CFESA began more than 25 years ago as a technician, during which he earned CFESA Master Technician certification. Prior to being elected as Vice President to the Board, Robert also served as a CFESA Ambassador, Co-Chair of the Membership Services committee, and two terms as a Director.

Reflecting on his new role, Harris shared, “Being part of this industry changed my life. After four years in the Marines, I didn’t have a plan. Entering this field allowed me to provide for my family in ways I couldn’t have imagined growing up. I’m committed to helping CFESA companies grow and transform more lives.”

He added, “To be elected Vice President by my peers is incredibly humbling. It’s an honor that people trust in the value I can bring to their businesses and have chosen me to represent them on the board.”

Harris’s leadership is expected to greatly benefit CFESA as the association continues to uphold its high standards and expand its impact on the industry.
