From pizzas to sandwiches and more, conveyor ovens offer a quick and easy way to cook quality food fast. To protection operation, it’s important to regularly clean your conveyor oven.

Cleaning Recommendations

Clean and maintain your unit according to OEM specification which may differ from the steps or frequency outlined below.


Disconnect power supply before cleaning the oven. The oven must be cool. DO NOT use power-cleaning equipment, steel wool, or wire brushes on stainless steel surfaces. Do not use caustic or alkaline-based cleaner on the interior of the oven.

All personnel involved in cleaning kitchen equipment are required to wear the following safety equipment: chemical splash goggles, impervious gloves.

Daily Recommendations

  1. Clean exterior surface of the oven by wiping it down with a mild detergent and clean water, or a commercial stainless steel cleaner.
  2. Clean the interior by sweeping up all those loose particles then wash with a mild detergent solution and rinse with clean water.
  3. Clean the conveyor belt by wiping with a cleaning cloth or brushing with a soft wire brush.

Weekly Recommendations

  1. Remove the fingers, disassemble and clean.
  2. Remove the conveyor, disassemble and clean.
  3. Clean the cooling fan grille in the back of the machine with a brush regularly.
Tips & Troubleshooting

If the unit is not working properly:

  • Verify the gas is turned to the ON position.
  • Check to make sure the gas hose is fully seated.
  • Make sure the breaker is turned on. If tripped, place a service call to help determine why.
  • Press the black reset button on back of machine and test operation.

Air Vents

Keep the air vents on control covers and cooling fan grilles clean to help reduce the risk of electronic parts failing prematurely due to high ambient temperatures.
